Does this cost me anything to participate?
No! GasForFREE is FREE to drivers. There are no membership fees, placement fees or any fee of any kind payable to GasForFREE. The only fee necessary will be the cost of purchasing a Driver’s Abstract (Driving Record) from your local Department of Licensing. These typically cost less than $15 and are not necessary to purchase until your vehicle has been selected by an advertiser.
What is a vehicle wrap?
A vehicle wrap is a printed vinyl covering that is designed
and engineered to adhere directly to your car with a lifespan of 3-5 years, however our company offers advertisers 3,6,9 and 12 month campaigns with the option to extend. In most cases, a vehicle wrap with GasForFREE would be removed within the first 24 months or within the advertisers selected campaign length.
Some companies provide a free car. Does GasForFREE do this?
No, GasForFREE does not provide vehicles. Most of these companies failed due to their extremely high advertising costs. Many of the companies you see on the internet today claim to offer a free car but charge the driver a “Sign Up Fee”. More likely than not, you will have just lost your hard earned money. GasForFREE is FREE. You’ve got nothing to lose!
Can I decline an advertising campaign?
Absolutely! If you are not interested in promoting a company for whatever you reason, you may elect not to participate in placing their ad on your vehicle and simply wait for another advertiser when they become available. Please note however, that if you decline two advertisers back-to-back, you will be removed from the database of driver’s.
When do I receive my FREE gas?
GasForFREE will issue you a gas card from a large gas station merchant such as Shell, Texaco or Chevron. The gas card will be re-loaded at the end of each month throughout the contracted period of your advertiser’s campaign. You will simply keep the same card until the campaign ends. GasForFREE will not be responsible for lost or stolen gas cards. If a card is lost or stolen, we will issue a new card but may not be able to reimburse you for any funds that remained on the card at the time it was misplaced.
Will I have to provide any odometer or mileage statements?
You may be required to provide proof of mileage every 2-3 months. A GasForFREE representative may also conduct random odometer checks by appointment.
Does the color of my car matter?
No! Your vehicle can be any color because you cannot see through a car wrap, although the color may be of importance if the advertiser has selected a partial wrap that leaves a portion of your vehicle’s paint exposed.
Will I still be able to see through my windows?
Absolutely. The window graphics are printed on a perforated vinyl that will allow you to see through your windows, making it completely safe to drive.
Do you wrap the roof?
Not very often, but we can and will if an advertiser wants that as part of their campaign.
Do you wrap the bumpers?
More often than not we do wrap the bumper(s) based upon the advertising clients design and how they want it incorporated into one of the GasForFREE vehicles.
How long does it take to apply the vehicle wrap?
Depending upon the campaign, it could take as little as a few hours (Tailgate or Back End) to a day for a (Half Wrap or Full Wrap). In the event your vehicle is selected for a Half or Full Wrap, you may be required to make arrangements for a day without your vehicle, however the benefits far exceed the inconvenience!
Will the wrap damage my paint?
No. A vehicle wrap, when applied and removed correctly will actually protect your paint! (Unless it is an aftermarket paint job or the paint was already damaged prior to installation). In some cases, it is necessary to remove factory installed name badges from the vehicle to provide a smooth surface for application. In the event this is necessary, you will be notified and asked for permission prior to their removal. Any badges removed will be saved and given to you for re-installation upon the wrap’s removal.
*It is important to note that we require a signed release form prior to installation of any GasForFREE advertising on your vehicle.
Can I take my vehicle through the carwash?
Yes, you can wash it just like you did before but GasForFREE requires that you do not use wax on any portion of the wrap. Just soap and water!
